Why is college football so much better than the NFL?

College Football
Ocho Tres™ asked:

Yeah that’s right. That’s a fact.

College football has passion and heart. Unlike the NFL which is full of old, rich, selfish, sleazy, and complacent a-holes who have no regard for their teams and communities.

College football is all about unity and it owns.

You are a b***th if you don’t agree.
plus it has tradition and history.

It owns the NFL so badly it ain’t even funny.
There are 100 plus teams in college football. Of course there will be blowouts. At least the players will give all they have to protect the honor of their school.

Unlike the complacent pro players who worry more about the money than the record of their teams.
Jeff M is the most ignorant imbecile ever for even writing that punchless paragraph. Dude you think every college player is trying to get the NFL? Most of them have top notch grades and will find better jobs after graduating. They play for their SCHOOLS. Only a small percentage of them will go on to play football for a living. Therefore they will give all they got everytime they step on the field.

Have you ever been to a college football game? The fans are way more passionate because they can acutally relate to the players.

Maybe you should’ve stayed in school.

Muwhahahhahahahah.
I think JG needs to get his lips away from those NFL c**ks and realize what real football is all about. You must be a 40 year old with a pot belly.

Do you mean because of the blowouts or uneven matchups every week? Or are you talking about those players you love playing to make it in the NFL? Then I guess once they play in the NFL, they should play for free. It’s a profession.

Oh you are so right. it is a fact, its in the BS Encyclopedia Under Dumb things that people say

so if college players are in it for the tradition, unity and blah blah blah, maybe they shouldnt enter the NFL draft, maybe they shouldnt demand the millions they whine about. face the facts, they play with so much passion becuase they want the big contract, they go to these big schools with tradtion and history to make a name for themselves. everyone is in it for themselves….get paid homie and shut up. regard for their communities?…NFL players donate all the time, and do they have to? no…i dont see any college player helping out theiir communities..did you see the Auburn game, a lot of unity there. blame it on the QB. id ont see any buckeye doing any services, tim teebow doing any services

You’re right tho, Michigan has a lot of unity right now, they all are crying together. Notre Dame are doing the same.

It’s only better if you like teams winning 79-10….

NFL is better….

Exciting games, great rivalries, but the main reason I like the college game better is that college ball has better fans, and by better I mean more loyal and knowledgeable about the game and their team. How many of todays Pats fans know what the old helmets looked like? How many Colts fans know that the team was in Baltimore for decades? How many Stiller fans know the sum of 2+2?

and honestly, can anybody get excited about the Falcons v. Panthers? Seriously.

ROFLMAO @ jeff’s drunken, rambling answer

Because Romeo Crennel isn’t coaching in the NCAA!

You sound like you have a chip on your shoulder! Athlete’s should get compensated financially for playing football. I didn’t see a NFL game on today where everyone isn’t playing with passion and heart. NFL players play for money. There is no bigger incentive. And tell me how a college football player has more regards for a community when they are all trying to go pro and make a living. And you write about unity, passion and heart and then you say You are a b***th if you don’t agree. You are an idiot if you believe your opinion is the only opinion that matters on these forums. I think you are upset because you can’t make it as a pro and you are jealous and envious.

Because Michael Vick didn’t have the money to start a dog fighting operation while he was in college. Going pro and making all that money ruined him.

I totally i agree with your assessment, college football is much better than the pro for me anyway. College football, their is more heart and passion from players to the fans, who’s scream out loud, because it’s allegiance and loyalty to their Alma Mater. Traditions run deep in college and you can’t really say that about the pro, college goes back to Rutgers playing the first ever NCAA college football at home in Sept. 6 1869. But for me college is just better than the pro, no matter what happen, the fans will always cheer for their Alma Mater.

Depends on what kind of game you like to watch. I like college football too, the ranking system is lame . . . any team can beat another at any time.

I think the NFL is better because of the quality of the play. Its usually the announcers that ruin the game for me. They go with the wind . . . if one team is scoring they harp on that . . .

Still think the NFL is better . . .

I think it’s all a matter of personal preference. I won’t say one or the other is better, but personally I prefer to watch college football. There seems to be more of a sense of pride and rivalry, it’s way more exciting, because many fans have been students at the very school that they are cheering for. In the state that I live we don’t have a pro football team that represents us, so I also think that an issue in some areas, we just have our college teams. Even if there was a pro team here, I don’t know if I would be more into it than I am into my college team though.I however have to agree that many college players have the aspiration to play at the professional level, I can’t blame them for that. Sometimes you see the ones that did make it come back to their Alma mater for support, so I guess they feel a sense of pride and loyalty too even after they make it.

Because College players play with more heart. Every game decides their season.

Pro players just play for their next SUV

i kind of agree with you somewhat especially after seeing randy moss go crazy this weekend and tank it for 2 years with the raiders nfl atheletes are spoiled, selfcentered a$$holes, but colledge football is not better than pro football its boring to watch a team lose 73 to 3 the teams arent matched up properly so you dont know whos who til the end of the season lots of hype not much substance
