I would say chase Holbrook from NMSU. yeah I said it look at this guys stats trust me if he was on any other team in NCAA they would be unstopable guy threw like 175 passes with no interceptions and hes like right behind Colt Brennen but this guy is on a lousy team
Darren Mcfadden of Arkansas, best running back in the NCAA. If he lands on a team with decent qb, he’ll be next LT
Steve Slaton of WVU best football player in the nation……He will put up better numbers then Reggie Bush his senior season
Limas Sweed - Wide Reciever; Texas
He has great playmaking capability and has consistently been one of the nation’s most lethal deep threats. He also has the height (6′5) and speed to compete at the next level. On top of that, he has been among the most consistent players in college football, and is a very cool, calm, collected, and smart player. Watch him this season, he’ll be in double coverage most games, because they know that Colt McCoy is not afraid to throw it deep, and history shows that if you leave Sweed downfield in single coverage, you’re going to get bombed. Texas is more than capable of being productive in a pass first offense primarily because of the threat of Sweed. I think on first downs against Texas, most teams will drop 7 into coverage so they don’t get burned by the deep ball.
Noel Devine of West Virginia — just a freshman and faster than Reggie Bush.
timmy tebow! he is a monster and will only get better!
Darren McFadden should be a great NFL Running back.I can’t read the future but he has the tools.
mike hart darren mcfadden and mario mannigham .. hart is fast and powerful and determined, mcfadden is a bad arss and manniham has all the tools to be a great reciever speed, hieghth, and great hands
colt brennan he is the most underrated player in college football the guy rips up the stats last year had 5549 passing yard and 58 passing touchdowns now that is impressive
For this question there are only two players in my mind who immediately come to the forefront - Darren Mcfadden and Mike Hart. Both players are incredibly skilled running backs who do things the right way: they run low-to-the-ground, they have amazing field vision, and they make decisive cuts to the hole while demonstrating jaw-dropping acceleration.
That being said, I took quarterbacks out of the picture because there’s a much bigger learning curve for QB’s in the NFL than for running backs - I don’t care how good a QB is in college he doesn’t become a viable fantasy option right away - whereas these running backs will have both the ability, and the opportunity, to do so.
Hart and Mcfadden are the cream of the running back crop this year, and they both have served as their team’s primary backs (albeit, Michigan has looked terrible - Hart still played well) - when they reach the NFL they will be ready to be a primary back for whichever team they go to. Steve Slaton is another guy to consider as well, but his offense’s style at WVU isn’t as similar to NFL systems as what they run at Arkansas and Michigan.
