I believe NCAA stands for National College Athletic Association and there are way too many teams to count.

It depends if you are talking about NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA
If you include all of that, about 400ish
Over 300, my guess. Almost every college has one whether its in whatever division, and there are a lot of colleges in the U.S.

I think there are about 118 schools in Div I-A These are larger and more well-known schools..
