I played college ice hockey and lived with the wrestling team, who constantly need to meet weights. What I learned from them is to eat plenty of high carb and high protein foods in fairly large portions. Also these guys put in hours of gym work and took protein drinks multiple times a day. Keep in mind your body can only absorb so many vitamins and proteins in any one given day. Best bet is eat big and work out big, the weight will come with time, avoid shortcuts they will never work out and only lead to problems. Also powerlifting builds mass over reps workouts.

Eat lots of protein and other foods, mainly protein. Work out hard. You want to do high weight with a lot of reps.
I’ve followed this strategy and have gone from 140-160 in 12 months. And without using steroids by the way.

I am sure that you want good weight not just fat so here is my best advice.

High protein diet along with lifting weights. You should probably consume somewhere around 3000 calories a day with no less then 1/3 of it coming from proteins.

In the weight room, doing heavy lifts is much more important then numbers of repetitions. Short pyramids add strength and bulk (which seems to be your goal). After warming up, something like 8 reps at 70%, 6 reps at 75%, 4 reps at 80% and 2 reps at 90% then back out is a good short pyramid scheme.

P.S. I just realized I didn’t include the percent of what, but it is of your max in case you didn’t infer that.
